After much consideration, I have decided to visit Comic-con yet another year. Unlike all the other time I have gone, this year my boyfriend and I are only going for one day. And that day is Friday.
We will be making the usual rounds at the exhibit hall, meeting our favorite talented artists, illustrators and vendors and buying lots of new art books and inspirational art prints. This short trip might burn a hole through my wallet, but at least I will get a chance to pass out some business cards. This year Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles will be holding a booth for the first time. I hear that they will be located right next to DC comics and Marvel. Now that’s good traffic. I will leaving a few postcards, art prints and freebies at the booth to promote myself.
I hope to see you all there. Let me know if you are going too.
I have had some technical difficulties with my domain name www.dianalevinart.com over the past couple of days. Very devastating. I apologize to all my readers for that and hope that you are back to reading my blog again. I am so relieved that this issue has been resolved.
I realize that I have not posted in a while. So I have decided to come back and update all you readers out there on whats going on with my life right now.
Since I came back from New York, I have had a real hard time getting back into my old routine again. I have been feeling uninspired and slightly burned out on all my endeavors. After taking a break, I have finally returned with more determination to get things started again.
My art is still a slow progress, but I have been focusing more on web design. Currently I am in the process of design a website for another artist, plus I am designing a new website for my web design business. I’m going to have that baby up next week and will start promoting my services in forums, networking groups and anywhere else I can think of.
Because I need more website portfolio pieces to get me started, I have decided to offer website design services starting at $300 for small biz folk. I will be designing a fully functional (5+) page website for anyone who is interested.
Please drop me a message if you are interested. I will be happy to design your website.
I am finally back from New York, a little poorer than when I left, but not unsatisfied. In fact, this has been the best vacation I have had in a long time. My boyfriend and I stayed with my relatives in New Jersey and took a bus every morning to New York City. We spent all our time in Manhattan. We visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Natural History, Time Square and Broadway. We saw a Broadway show, Phantom of the Opera and ate great food.
Now its about picking up from where I left of before I left. I spent all day putting away clothes, cleaning my office and studio and checking and deleting email.
